Materials in Advance of August 29 Prop. 8 Hearing
On Monday, August 29, U.S. District Court Chief Judge James Ware will consider AFER’s motion to make public a video recording of the historic trial of California’s Proposition 8.
AFER fully believes that all Americans should have the right to see what happened at the Prop. 8 trial. The complete transcripts and briefs in the Perry case are already publicly available; like the trial tapes, they are part of the official court record and therefore should be available to the public.  The sponsors of Prop. 8 have no credible reason for wanting the tapes withheld from public view.
