In less than 48 days, Ted Olson and David Boies will walk up the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court to make the case that our Constitution protects everyone equally and that every American is guaranteed the freedom to marry the person they love.
They won’t be arguing for gay and lesbian couples just in Berkeley or Burbank, but for couples everywhere—from the shores of the Outer Banks in North Carolina to the sandy beaches of Hawai’i.
Today, we are setting an ambitious online challenge—$200,000 raised before March 26, the date we’ll present oral argument before the Supreme Court. Your donation today will help our attorneys as they get ready to make the case of their lives, and will assist our efforts to expand support for marriage equality nationwide with our extensive public outreach campaign.
It’s time. Time for our Constitution to protect everyone equally. Time to stop singling out an entire group of people for second-class treatment, based how they were born and who they love. Time for every American to have the freedom to marry, and to have their marriages treated with equal dignity and respect under the law.
